Two teenage suspects are in custody, but a third remains at large, following a series of 12 shootings in Austin, Texas. The spree began late Saturday afternoon and paused overnight before resuming Sunday morning. The suspects fired at two fire stations and multiple apartment buildings, and stole at least four vehicles. Four people were shot, with three sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and one critically injured. The motive for the shootings remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. The multi-agency response, including the Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department, and Travis County Sheriff's Office, has been praised by Mayor Kirk Watson. The use of license plate reader technology is being reconsidered to aid future investigations. The public is urged to contact the Aggravated Assault Unit with any information.
